Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 1, 2026
Kova Network ("Kova," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our decentralized compute marketplace platform, including our website, dashboard, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
Wallet and Account Information
When you connect your Web3 wallet to the Service, we collect your public wallet address. This serves as your account identifier. We do not have access to your private keys or seed phrases.
Deployment Data
We collect information about deployments you create, including SDL manifests, resource specifications, provider selections, and deployment logs. This data is necessary to operate the marketplace and facilitate compute services.
Transaction Data
We record billing-related data including deposits, escrow transactions, provider payments, and spending history. Blockchain transaction hashes may be stored for payment verification.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and device information. This helps us improve the platform.
Optional Information
You may optionally provide an email address for notifications, a display name, and other profile information. Providing this data is voluntary and not required to use the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Kova Network platform
- Facilitate deployment creation, provider matching, and billing
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Send notifications about deployment status, billing alerts, and platform updates
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
- Provide customer support when you contact us
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Providers
When you create a deployment, your SDL manifest and resource requirements are shared with providers who bid on your workload. Providers can see your wallet address and deployment specifications but not your browsing history or other account details.
Blockchain Data
Certain transaction data is recorded on public blockchain networks. This data is inherently public and cannot be deleted or modified once confirmed on-chain.
Service Providers
We may share data with third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform, such as payment processors, analytics services, and infrastructure providers. These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Wallet-based authentication (no passwords to breach)
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention mechanisms
- Regular security audits and monitoring
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@kovanetwork.com. Note that data recorded on public blockchain networks cannot be modified or deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Deployment logs are retained for 90 days after a deployment is closed. Billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations.
If you disconnect your wallet and do not use the Service for 12 months, we will delete or anonymize your non-essential personal data. On-chain transaction data will persist on the blockchain indefinitely.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also send a notification through the platform dashboard.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
